Flexible Scheduling
Flexible Scheduling in Orlando: Daycare Hours That Fit Your Workday
Ladybird Academy of Dr. Phillips gives Orlando parents who work early, late, or shifting hours a full weekday of child care that matches their schedule. We offer care for your little one at our infant and toddler nursery in Dr. Phillips. Many families here work near the theme parks, hotels, and offices, where a shift can start before sunrise or end after dinner.
Both Ends of the Day
Early Drop-Off at 6:30 AM and Pickup Until 6:30 PM
Our flexible scheduling covers early drop-off, late pickup, infant care, preschool, and after-school care. We’re open Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM. As a Gold Seal day care center, we give your child a structured curriculum, including Abeka and Saxon Math. Call us, and we’ll plan your child’s schedule around your work hours.
Ladybird Academy of Dr. Phillips opens its doors at 6:30 AM and offers pickup until 6:30 PM every weekday. Those hours fit parents who work at the theme parks, at Restaurant Row on Sand Lake Road, at hotels, and in offices near I-4.
Long hours only work if the start and end of the day feel safe. Our drop-off and pickup routine at the door is the same every day:
- Key fob check-in
- Coded door locks
- ID required for any adult we don’t know at pickup
A 12-hour day also means your child needs real food. Our own cook makes breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack on site. These meals carry your child from an early start to a late pickup, so you don’t have to pack three meals before a dawn shift.
Our location helps too. We sit 2.6 miles (about 13 minutes) from Universal Studios, and we are the closest day care to Universal Studios Orlando. If you work there or nearby, your drive between work and your child is short at both ends of the day.
- Drop-off 6:30 AM
- Pickup 6:30 PM
- Infants from 6 weeks
- Universal 2.6 miles
From 6 Weeks Old
Flexible Infant Care Schedules for Dr. Phillips Families
Ladybird Academy of Dr. Phillips cares for babies from 6 weeks old, which helps parents who are going back to work, often with changing shifts. When your hours move around, your baby’s day shouldn’t.
Your baby sees the same infant room teachers. Our teachers stay with the same age group all day, and parents mention them by name in their reviews. That steady face matters most for babies, who settle faster with people they know. We keep ratios at all times, even early in the morning and late in the day.
Infant feeding is part of our infant care. Infants also start learning simple sign language, which gives them a way to show needs before they can talk.
Full-Day Programs
Extended Hours Preschool with Abeka and Saxon Math
Ladybird Academy of Dr. Phillips runs full-day preschool for toddlers and preschoolers. We offer full-day programs only, with no half-day option.
Learning follows a plan. Children learn with the Abeka curriculum and Saxon Math for early math skills. Because these are named, structured programs, you can see what your child is learning. Toddlers also get potty training support, and conversational Spanish starts at age 2.
On-site learning centers add variety to a long day:
- Art Studio
- Science Lab
- Library
- Computer Lab
VPK (Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten) is free for eligible 4-year-olds in Florida. We offer VPK during the school year only. If you work through the summer, plan ahead for summer care so your 4-year-old’s routine doesn’t stop when VPK ends.
Central Florida weather shapes the day, too. Hot afternoons and thunderstorms move play indoors to the library, Playtown (our pretend play room), and the art room. On sunny days, shaded playground equipment helps children play outside longer.
Palm Lake and Bay Meadows
Before and After School Care Timed to Palm Lake and Bay Meadows
Ladybird Academy of Dr. Phillips provides before and after school care for children at Palm Lake Elementary and Bay Meadows Elementary, part of Orange County Public Schools. Our program serves school-age kids from 5 to 12.
Before-school drop-off starts at 6:30 AM. Our bus runs to and from both schools, so you don’t have to leave work to cover the school run, and at the end of your shift you pick up from one place. The bus serves Palm Lake and Bay Meadows only. If your child goes to a different school, ask us about your options before you plan around the bus.
Check In on a Break
Live Camera Access and App Updates on Long Days
Ladybird Academy of Dr. Phillips gives parents live camera access to their child’s classroom, which helps when you work a shift and can’t call during the day. You can check in on a break and see your child at play.
You also get real-time app updates and can message teachers directly. Every classroom has a phone. With our open-door policy, you can visit any time during our hours, with no notice needed. Parents confirm that our front desk addresses their concerns the same day.
